VTA has several transit centers located in various parts of Santa Clara County. Here are pictures of some of them.
Downtown Mountain View
Located in Downtown Mountain View at the Light Rail and Caltrain Station.
Eastridge - San Jose
This is a bus only transit center, it replaced a combination of bus stops on a street next to the chopping center.
Palo Alto Caltrain Station
This transit center went under construction for much needed upgrades in August of 2004. Completion is currently scheduled for October 2005. It will have 10 bus
stops, plus room for additional buses laying over. The map is based on the new configuration.

Yes, the lighting changes colors on a couple of minute cycle. This is achieved by the use of LEDs. The center reopened on Oct. 10, 2005. Center is used by VTA,
SamTrans, Maruerite & AC Transit.
West Valley College

This transit center serves the students of West Valley College as well as transfer between the bus routes that serve this location. This center has been rebuilt once already,
and in the early part of 2001 went under construction again.
Mostly Finished. The center is finished and open again.
Main & Hale - Morgan Hill
Located in Morgan Hill this is a small transit center with only 2 bus stops. It is only served by 3 bus routes.
Lockheed Martin - Sunnyvale
This transit center is off of Mathilda near 5th Ave. Not the friendliest place to take pictures due to the neighbors (defense contractors).
Gilroy Transit Center
This transit center is located at the Gilroy Caltrain Station at Monterey & 7th. It is served by VTA, San Benito County, MST, Amtrak, Caltrain and
Greyhound. This center has 8 bus stops.
Great Mall/Main - Yes, folks, that is the official name.
This transit center is served by VTA and AC Transit. It is located near the corner of Main & Greal Mall in Milpitas. It has 10 stops and room for 4 more
buses in a general layover area.
Santa Clara - Santa Clara Caltrain Station
The Santa Clara Caltrain Station is served by VTA, Amtrak, Caltrain, and ACE. Also a stop on VTA's BRT service
San Jose Diridon Caltrain Station
This center is a multi-modal center with room for 14 buses at the same time. It is served by VTA buses, VTA Light Rail (as of August 12, 2005), Amtrak, Amtrak Thruway
buses, Caltrain, ACE, and the Hwy 17 Express. It is located across the street from the HP Pavilion (aka The Shark Tank).

San Jose - Downtown Transit Mall
Located in the heart of Downtown San Jose this mall is served by VTA buses and light rail, and the Hwy. 17 Express.
San Antonio
These pictures are the San Antonio Transit Center. These pictures were taken during the timed transfer window when all eight buses that were supposed to be at the
site were there. This is an on-street facility located next to San Antonio Shopping Center.
Alum Rock Transit Center
This is one end of the current LR routing in East San Jose. It has room for 7 bus stops. The center was built as part of the housing development next to
it. This is also a BRT stop.
Penitencia Creek Transit Center
Another transit center along the LR line in East San Jose. This center has room for 4 bus stops.
Winchester Transit Center
This is the furthest south station on the Vasona portion of Light Rail. Served by VTA bus routes 38, 48, 49, 60 & 101
