Bus Stop

Davey's Stops

Okay, here is a collection of stops that only Dave could install.  Dave does actually install bus stops for a living, and the drivers are always complaining about them being hidden in trees, the pavement failing, hidden behind signs, not accessible for wheelchairs, etc.

Well, Dave actually doesn't do that bad, but we will give him the credit anyway.  Here are some examples of stops with problems of one sort or another.  The funny thing is he always seems to install signs in places he has never been, wonder if he still gets paid for it.

There is a stop here? - The first thing Davey is known for is hiding the signs where the driver can't see them.

Santa Rosa, California.

Rio Vista, California

Chico, California

San Jose, California

The Poles - Davey attaches sign to the damnedest things sometimes.

Cathlament, Washington.  Hey, if the pole is already there, use it.

Big Bear Lake, California.  I hope he didn't kill the tree.

Douglas City, California.  The local store and bait shop.

I have to stop where? - Sometimes he installs signs where the driver have to be very creative stopping at them.

Gilroy, California.  All those Garlic Mushrooms must have gotten to him.

Hwy. 1, California.  Sorry, but the bus goes straight, it does not turn.

Santa Clara, California.  Now remember, the driver is supposed to stop with the front door at the sign.

Hey, at least it is a trash can - Davey has to scrape the bottom of the barrel for stops sometimes.

San Jose, California.

Needles, California

Scottsdale, Arizona

Red Bluff, California

Sacramento, California

Hwy. 28, California

Xmas Trees - Davey likes putting signs up with other signs, no matter how cluttered it gets.

Palo Alto, California

Multi-Tasking Sign Post, WB Florence/FS Pioneer, Santa Fe Springs, with one of the few remaining old Norwalk signs.   Picture by Mark S.

As long as there is a pole we use it, that is Davey's philosphy.  This one is in Spokane, WA.  Found by G. Araki.

Portland, Oregon

Spokane, WA again.  I guess Davey taught them well.  Found by G. Araki.

Is this stop Safe? - Well, for the bus it is, I don't know about the rider.

Sherwood, Oregon

Concord, California

Attaching the Sign? - Is this the new way of doing it?

San Jose, California, hey at least it isn't Duct Tape.
