There are several signs like this along this route to help direct the drivers along the route.  This one is located at Summit Road and Mountain Charlie Road.  There are very few street signs along this route.  Now you know what these signs are for.  Picture provided by G. Araki.

This stop is located at the corner of Bayview and Virdelle.  The shelter is next to a small park for the residents of the area.  This was taken on a rainy day, the NWS had predicted snow for this area, it probably didn't stick.  The next stop is 0.16 miles (0.25 Km) away.

Okay, here is a picture of the stop above, from the reverse angle, after a snow storm that did stick.  The day before this picture was taken the route did not run because of "chain" requirements in the morning, and fallen trees in the afternoon.

This stop is located at Eastbound Virdelle, mid block after Bayview.  Yes the bus does operate on that road.  Virdelle is a private road owned by the Redwood Estates Water District.  The next stop is 0.20 miles (0.32 Km) away.

This stop is located at Virdelle and Summit.  The bus makes a left turn at the stop sign.  Distance to next stop 0.37 miles (0.60 Km).

Same stop as above, this time with a bit of snow from the winter of 2005/2006.

This stop is located at the corner of Del Monte and Summit Rd.  This stop has the nickname Pheasant Farm.  This stop is located in Santa Cruz County.  The next stop is 0.60 miles (0.96 Km) away.

This is the newest stop on the 76 line.  It is located at the Loma Prieta Community Center.  The stop was added to provide service to middle school kids in the area after their school was damaged in an earthquake.  This stop is located in Santa Cruz County.  The next stop is 1.18 miles (1.89 Km) away.

Due to construction at the Community Center, there is a temporary turn around at the Lome Pritea school.  Here is that stop.

This stop is on Summit Rd & Chaswood.  It is between Del Monte and Old Santa Cruz Highway.  This stop has the nickname Pony Patch.  It got this because at one time there were some horses in the adjacent field.  The next stop is 0.68 miles (1.10 Km) away.

This stop is located in the public right-of-way on Old Santa Cruz Highway, just north of Summit Road.  The adjacent property owner at this stop has tried more than once to have VTA pay for the use of this land by claiming the sign is on their property.  It is in the public ROW (owned by the County of Santa Clara.  The trees in the background are redwoods.  The next stop is 1.01 miles (1.62 Km) away.

Agin, a picture from the winter of 2005/2006 showing some of the white stuff that stuck for about a day.

Old Santa Cruz Highway and Edwards.  The next stop is 0.36 miles (0.58 Km) away.  Picture provided by G. Araki.

This stop is located at Old Santa Cruz Highway and Ogalalla Warpath at the entrance to Chemeketa Park.  There used to be a wooden shed at this stop until it fell down the hill after some heavy rains.  This stop is among the redwoods in the area.  The next stop is 0.28 miles (0.45 Km) away.  (Yes that is a coffee cup next to the pole.)

Due to winter storms in early 2005, the next three bus stops are not currently being observed.  It is estimated it will take approximately 2 years for the road to be repaired.  Here are a couple of pictures as to why the stops are not being served.  Pictures courtesy of Davey, yes, that Davey.

This stop is located at Old Santa Cruz Highway and Aldercoft Heights Rd.  The picture is dark because the stop is under the redwoods that are found along this route.  The next stop is 0.67 miles (1.08 Km) away.

This stop is located at Old Santa Cruz Highway and Wright.  Behind the bushes to the right is Lexington Reservoir.  This can also be called Old Santa Cruz Highway and Oakmont Dr.  The next stop is 0.47 miles (0.76 Km) away.

This is the last stop before the bus heads back down the hill on Hwy. 17.  It is located at Old Santa Cruz Highway and Lexington School Rd.  Please note the improvements made for passengers convenience.  The fence to keep them from falling off the mountain and rolling into Lexington Reservoir, and the asphalt pad to keep the mud down.  The crosswalk leads to Lexington School (K-5).  The next stop is 3.23 miles (5.20 Km) away.

The next stop on this route is located in downtown Los Gatos at Santa Cruz and Main.  This stop used to be the end of the line.  It was moved to Los Gatos Civic Center.  The next stop is 0.29 miles (0.46 Km) away. Picture provided by G. Araki.

Here is another shot of the end of the line.  In this case it is from the direction of travel.  The bus sitting in the stop is the 76 line bus on layover.
